            Hi, Frank!  That sounds like a really great trip.  I haven't been to Suzhou yet.  You'll have to tell me all about it when I get back to Changchun in February.  Things are good here.  Ward's partner, Tony, is visiting for a few weeks, so I am showing him around.  Not too much to do in the countryside.  I'll be in Beijing for most of January.  Keep well.  See you when I get back.

                hi peter, i m SuZhou now. i left Changchun on 30th oct. i arrived in shanghai 31st. stayed there 3days and i went suzhou for travel.

                 

                now, i m going back tomorrow noon. i ll be in changchun the day after tomorrow.

                        This is a great place for Cantonese dim sum. Not the cheapest place in town but a very pleasant atmosphere with perhaps the most authentic Cantonese cuisine in Changchun. My only negative is the absurd 15% service charge applied at all Shangri-La restaurants. Since I know it does not go to the waitresses and waiters, it is obviously just another way to increase the hotel's bottom line. In my view, the lofty prices should already be adequate for that. Without the 15% service charge, I would frequent their restaurant facilities more often.
